Joining the garrison
Reenactor participation at most Fort Dobbs events is by invitation only and is generally limited to members of the site’s French & Indian War “Garrison.” For information about joining the Garrison, please email info@fortdobbs.org. All volunteers must be at least 16 years old, though younger children may accompany their parent volunteers. See the Garrison Authenticity Guidelines document at the bottom of this page for an overview of material culture standards.
military timeline
For the annual “Military Timeline” event, which is open to a wide range of impressions that cover North Carolina’s military history, outside reenactors may apply using the form below. Participation in the Timeline is juried and there is a limit to the number of people representing each historic period.
Each individual applicant must complete this form and submit impression photos to info@fortdobbs.org. Returning participants are not required to submit photos each year.
All applications must be received a month prior to the event.
